Crew Members, Garden Endeavors, Providence RI

Providence-based Garden Design and Landscape Maintenance Company is looking for crew people to join our team for the 2024 season and beyond. We provide environmentally responsible landscape gardening and design services to a variety of locations throughout Southeastern New England. Responsibilities include all aspects of fine gardening, organic plant care, and landscape maintenance. Applicants should possess a strong affinity for horticulture, and/or have a desire to further their skills in this area. Individuals that love to work outside in all sorts of New England weather, are physically fit, love hands-on projects, and plants! We are seeking team players that are energetic, have a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and think on
their feet. Attention to details and problem-solving are essential. Creativity, intuition, and technical skills are a plus! Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Must have own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and ability to drive a pickup truck. Compensation depends on experience, skills, and abilities. We offer generous hourly and competitive wages.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator at Wild Harmony Farm, Exeter RI (remote)

Reports to: Farm owners

Compensation: $19 – $22 per hour DOE, bonus eligibility

Position Type: Part-time/Remote, except for in-person on-site events & in-person onboarding

Regular Work Hours: 20 hours/week, somewhat flexible days and hours.  One weekly virtual team meeting required

Additional benefits: $150/mo of WHF meat

Wild Harmony Farm, located in Exeter, RI is seeking a passionate inside sales representative to generate new, as well as supporting and maintaining existing B2B and B2C business. This position is responsible for all aspects of marketing including building the brand, lead generation through social media, and maintaining the company website.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of increasing sales in the food sector, providing customer excellence, broad experience in marketing, and a passion for the Farm’s mission.

Sales Duties:

  • Develop and recommend sales strategy and sales forecasts.

  • Track all analytics and suggest strategy shifts, as needed.

  • Meet all sales goals by identifying, prospecting, conveying product value,  building relationships, and closing new B2B and B2C customers.

  • Maintain profit margins.

  • Meet customer acquisition and retention goals.

  • Resolve all customer-related issues throughout the sales process.

  • Maintain sales software (Shopify, Square)

  • Track sales trends and competitors in this food category.

  • Respond to all customer calls and emails in a timely and effective manner.

  • Create methodology, execute, analyze, and report customer feedback to improve customer experience.

  • Work with the internal team to improve overall company operations.

Marketing Duties:

  • Develop and recommend marketing strategies and tactics to meet sales and profit goals.

  • Execute approved marketing plan including the use of traditional marketing tools such as advertising, direct marketing, promotional materials, branding, and labeling.

  • Increase social media presence through digital content creation

  • Maximize website search engine optimization.

  • Lead customer communications to support customer acquisition and retention goals.

  • Maintain awareness of trends in marketing for this food category and recommend new approaches including brand development through digital and printed materials.

Qualifications

  • Driven to meet Farm goals and objectives.

  • Ability to advance the Farm’s value proposition through superior written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to proactively identify, adopt, and utilize appropriate technologies and platforms to carry out job functions

  • Ability to analyze internal and industry data.

  • Be a team player by always acting in a collegial manner to meet company goals while maintaining a harmonious work environment.

Required Experience

  • Minimum three years of progressive experience in the areas of inside sales, including customer service, and marketing including knowledge of online marketing, and e-commerce sales.

  • Proficiency in tools such as:  Canva, Klaviyo, Shopify, CMS, social media, POS systems.

  • Knowledge in the food (farm) industry as evidenced by prior work experience in the niche food sector,  working on a farm,  cooking pasture-raised meat as a chef, or education in the field.

  • Eligibility to work in the US
