DESCRIPTION:Growing\, Harvesting and Washing Storage Carrots \nJoin Amy & Andrew Smith of The Local Patch for a morning of everything storage carrots! They’ll explain the step by step process from staling a seed bed\, successional seeding in July\, to irrigation\, weeding\, maintenance and finally a dig. After the carrots are out the of the ground\, the farmers will demonstrate the wash and prep process using their new barrel washer – a 2025 LASA grant award! \nThis workshop is co sponsored by TOPP as part of NOFA RI’s technical education and community-building grant. \nLight fare will be provided!\nThis event is fun for all ages and the farmers kids will be there as well!\nRegister Here
