Growing, Harvesting and Washing Storage Carrots
Join Amy & Andrew Smith of The Local Patch for a morning of everything storage carrots! They’ll explain the step by step process from staling a seed bed, successional seeding in July, to irrigation, weeding, maintenance and finally a dig. After the carrots are out the of the ground, the farmers will demonstrate the wash and prep process using their new barrel washer – a 2025 LASA grant award!
