Summer Workshops with NOFA/RI

Summer is a great time for on-farm workshops, pasture walks and farm tours.  Seeing how other farmers are handling similar production, processing, and marketing challenges can spark ideas for your farm that can improve profitability.  These On-farm workshops are free, sponsored by a grant from USDA and the RI DEM.

Healthy food starts with healthy soil.  Farm owner, Jayne Merner Senecal will discuss the importance of soil health, as well as share what healthy soil should consist of and how to maintain its health.  Soil samples will be studied under the microscope.  Attendees can bring in a small soil sample from their field so we can check it out under the scope too.
